May my mind be still, may my actions keep in permanent move, may my determination brings me peace of mind, body and soul. Through the dense storm I learn to see beyond, through the brightness breaking through the storm I learn that everything shall pass, just like the flowing river, who does not resist life, nor death. A beautiful storm in the location of Boonooroo, while kangaroos were jumping across the fields deeply inspired me. I was lucky to take a shot of one of these kangaroos bouncing across. 9 months later, I went back into this memory and decided to revive that magical moment, that gave me so much happiness into a new artwork. The painting represents how our inner selves should be still and determined in our own path remaining in it calm, to silence our minds, even though there are chaos around us or distractions. That we also need to be brave enough to face that chaos and go through it, believing in our inner power, no matter what external circumstances are happening. It is also a tribute to this sacred land, to it’s nature that has captivated me since I arrived in Australia, specially the lightning storms phenomena. The colourful scenery represents the different states of mood that we can go through daily and how this part of the world has shown me colours that I have never seen before. In First Nation language Boonooroo means “Brigalow” this is a type of Acacia tree.
